Who We Are

For over 110 years the shore of the Rideau River has provided Ottawa a location for sport, social connection and fun.

The Rideau Tennis Club was incorporated in 1912 and had a rich history of world class tennis tournaments, sing-song & dance nights and generations of families who came together to play.

Rideau Sports Centre is the evolution of over a century of vibrancy with the introduction of a multi-sport facility in 2018. Millions of dollars was spent to upgrade the facility with two new state-of-the-art domes, a full renovation to the club house, the opening of a new full service restaurant and bar, the introduction of a hot yoga room, renovation of the gym, and the introduction of 6 new sports: basketball, indoor volleyball, ball hockey, beach volleyball, beach & snow tennis.

In September 2023, the RSC Sport Dome transitioned to a 2nd Indoor Tennis Dome with 4 NEW state-of-the art indoor hard tennis courts, to serve the growing year-round tennis community. This will bring RSC’s Indoor Tennis Court count to 8 (from 4).

The doors were opened to the public for the first time in over 100 years. Diversity and inclusion have been at the core of our mission, and we are proud to welcome everyone. No longer are we a members only club, and we encourage all to come and begin to experience the magic of RSC.

Membership is not required, and all ages and abilities are welcome.
