After finishing top 10 in their respective provinces, both Eli Marks and Julien Gagnon have both earned a spot at the Fischer Canadian U14 Junior Championship in Vancouver.

Two of our National Team athletes, Eli Marks and Julien Gagnon, have earned a spot at the prestigious Fischer Canadian U14 Junior Nationals in Vancouver, BC, from April 1-7. Both players secured their places by finishing in the Top 10 of their respective provinces through the National Selection Tournaments and Provincials.

What makes their journey even more special is that Eli will represent Ontario and Julien will represent Quebec, despite both training together at RSC. It’s a unique and exciting aspect of their story!

“This tournament is an incredible opportunity for both Eli and Julien to demonstrate the results of their hard work and commitment,” says Pierre Tafelski, RSC Tennis Director. “It’s a huge milestone for them to represent not just RSC, but their province on the national stage. We’re excited to see them compete at such a high level, and we have no doubt they’ll perform admirably.”

The Fischer Canadian Junior Nationals bring together the best young players from across the country, and both Eli and Julien are eager to face off against top competitors. Their journey to this prestigious event has been marked by countless hours of practice and dedication. With this incredible opportunity ahead of them, we are confident they’ll give it their all on the court.

We are all cheering them on as they represent RSC, and we wish them the best of luck in Vancouver!
